德國內政部長「德梅齊埃」宣佈，由於德國不堪大批難民湧入，因此將在德國與奧地利邊界，恢復實施邊境管制，以因應難民危機。

德梅齊埃在台北時間星期天晚間十一點半，也就是德國柏林時間下午五點半，舉行記者會，宣佈暫時恢復邊境管制，首先將由德國與奧地利及義大利的邊境實施。

不過由於歐盟各國，在簽署「申根公約」後，已經取消邊境檢查護照等管制措施，如果德國政府這麼做，將違反申根公約的協議。

此外，根據德通社報信用貸款導，在德國要求下，奧地利已經暫停通往德國的鐵路班車。
